Cancellation & refunds / 返品・キャンセル: You may cancel for a full refund at any time before the brief is delivered. Because the brief is a digital product prepared for your specific product, no refund is available after delivery. If we cannot complete a brief for your product, we refund in full.

What we provide. Torii Japan Compliance provides informational summaries of Japanese product-regulation requirements, based on publicly available sources. Our outputs are prepared with AI assistance and reviewed by a human before delivery.
Not legal advice. Nothing we provide is legal advice, and we do not prepare or file documents with Japanese government agencies on your behalf. Final applicability of any requirement must be confirmed with a registered certification body or the relevant ministry (METI, MIC, MHLW). Japanese source documents prevail over any English summary.
Accuracy and changes. Regulations change. Information is accurate to the best of our knowledge on the date stated in each deliverable and may become outdated.
Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from a service is limited to the amount you paid for that service. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or lost-profit damages.
Introductions. Where we introduce test laboratories, importers or Domestic Administrator providers, your contract is with them. We may receive a referral fee from such providers; we do not receive success fees from licensed professionals (lawyers, administrative scriveners).
Governing law and venue. These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Yokohama District Court has exclusive jurisdiction in the first instance.

Quick Check inputs (product description, module name) are sent to our server and to an AI provider (Anthropic) solely to generate your result. We do not store Quick Check inputs beyond server logs retained for up to 30 days for abuse prevention.
If you order a brief, we keep your name, email, and product information for as long as needed to deliver the service and to meet Japanese bookkeeping obligations (7 years for transaction records).
Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not see or store card numbers.
We do not sell personal data. We do not use tracking cookies; basic server analytics may be used.
